White Cane Walk
Calling for awareness for those who need to use a white cane, Lions from throughout East Hawaii gathered to support such a good cause.
We walked a few blocks downtown and then there were refreshments and a good time.
We served over 250 steaks! Our annual fundraiser allows us to raise funds to use for projects. Mahalo for your support!!
Are we ready? Puna Lion President Nancy is and that's one lucky dog that gets to go to a steak BBQ.
On Sunday, September 15th, Puna Lion Club members and other Lion club members from throughout East Hawaii helped to process over 70 people to get their vision checked at no cost to them..

The second Sunday of every month we can be found at the Long's Drug store in Pahoa from 9 am until 1 pm conducting a food drive for the Neighborhood Place of Puna. On July 7, we raised over 350 lbs of food and $127 from the generous shoppers at Longs Drugs. On September 8th we raised 285 lbs of food and $102 and put in 29 hours of volunteer time!
Every year, Puna Lions help distribute free school supplies. This year we were at Saint Theresa's church in Mountain View and Makuu Marketplace on the rainy Saturday morning of June 22th.
